We spent a week in Fuerteventura at the end of June, most of it at the lagoons at El Cotillo. In our opinion the lagoons are the nicest place in the north.
We were last there just over two years ago, and I commented on this site that naturists were becoming fewer, and being forced further up the coast.
I was pleased to see quite a good turn out of naked people on our last visit, but it was only when we got to the end of the lagoon area that we felt that the predominance of bathers were naturist. There was still a fair few textiles even then.
We chatted with a few of the other people on the beach once or twice. most of them seemed to know each other, and have been coming to El Cotillo for years.
I suppose the thing to do is just make the most of these lovely beaches while we can before the clothed hoards completely take them over.

we were on the island in June.Stayed in Corralejo, but visited the beatiful El Cotillo a few times. naturists were a plenty during the week but at weekends the textiles took over. Still a lovely part of the island

The only answer is what I do - continuer to use them properly attired. We are more likely to encourage others to progress to proper bathing by that sort of example than by running away.

Do not do unto others as you would that they should do unto you. Their tastes may not be the same.

My wife and I went to the lagoons twice whilst on holiday at the beginning of this month. We didn't see a single naturist. Either we were in the wrong place, which I don't believe we were, or we were unfortunate with our timing. We preferred the beach at Corralejo anyway, so not too bothered.
