Ross Back Sands in Northumberland is my favourite beach in the UK. It is a long walk from the car park but it's really worth it. The beach is usually virtually deserted and looks like the Caribbean on the sunniest days in the the Summer. You can walk naked through the dunes for a long way northwards from the main path.
The views of Holy Island, Bamburgh and the Farne Islands are really special and although I don't get there a lot, the atmosphere never fails to impress me.

PMs & emails welcome.
Thanks for sharing, a good Idea to visit. More places welcome, especially places for a naked wandering or hike.

Hi
Went to Ross Beach for a (clothed) walk a week ago. It's a beautiful beach, but a bit cold on the day. It will be top of the list for a visit if we ever get another heat wave.
Cheers

Fantastic beach, hope to re-visit if the weather keeps fine.
Yes its a Great place ,I have been to that beach many times and hopefully many more to come 8)

I agree Ross is beautiful and very quiet - it can be difficult to find someone to help put sun-screen on your back! I've enjoyed nude running along the beach as well as just lying on the sand and hardly seen anyone at all on most visits. The drawback (and a reason for the low population!) is the fairly long walk from the nearest parking spot. I'd like to get there more often, but I reckon you need a whole day to do it justice.
For those of us who've yet to visit Ross I take it most people park near Ross hamlet and use the path beyond the road end to cross the dunes to the beach before turning left and walking northerly along the beach ?
Also how far up the beach do you go before you can get your kit off - Ross Point ? or beyond to Old Law Dunes and Guile Point with its navigation markers ?
Yes, you park by the houses (you can't drive or even cycle any further) and walk to the beach - it does take a few minutes, but helps make this a secluded place. Most naturists turn left, though I've seen some to the right (south). I've stripped off as soon as reaching the beach (sometimes even earlier, once away from the houses) and not had any problems. You often don't see anyone at all.
