I noticed a post asking about Maltese beaches for naturism and wanted to share my favourite place there which is Ghajn Tuffieha and Gnejna.  The two bays are adjacent to each other with texile beaches on either side.  Between the two are the headland of Il Karraba and the famous mudslides (sounds nasty doesn't it, but Malta is so dry they are just high soil cliffs really).  On the Ghajn Tuffieha side of the headland, there is a small sandy beach with shallow entry into the sea and then all around the headland there are places in the rocks to sunbathe.  On the Gnejna side of the headland there are narrow sand strips and a large rock platform protruding into the sea for sunbathing.  4

There aren't that many places in Malta for an all over tan but this is a good one.  I read the post about St Andrew's/Pembroke and have been there too.  It's not really the best place - the north coast of the island is mostly rocky and rough and this place is no exception.  Head up to the north west of the island for the relative quiet and the lovely views out over the blue Mediterranean.  It's one of my favourite spots and was a childhood haunt with my parents.

I have just returned from malta and can confirm naturism being practised in this area, 🙂 but people do keep them selves out of site, i.e. not walking along stones and beach area naked. It is frowned upon in Malta. :'(
I saw a beach sign stating toplessness is against the law for women. But did notice 1 lady among 200 on beach :-

Keep On Smiling:)

I too have recently visited this beach between Ghajn Tuffieha and Gnejna Bay. There were about a dozen naturists on a weekday afternoon, mostly Maltese.

Malta is definitely not worth visiting for the beaches. There are very few sandy ones and (this one aside) they are all packed, and even topless for women is illegal.

If you are there for the culture and happen to be a naturist, heading up to Gnejna Bay's nudist section is worth doing one afternoon. It is a shorter walk from Ghajn Tuffieha than it is from Gnejna Bay's main bit.
