The local authority is currently trying to prevent naturist use of this beach.
I don't expect them to succeed but in the meantime you can expect a certain amount of official harassment.

Haven't used the beach for quite a few years. A fair walk from the carpark.
Use to stay at Thorton's ( I think that was the name of the caravan camping site. )in Burry port. I beleive it's all static's now on the edge of dunes andnear harbour.

Once again it's not the naturists that are causing the problem, but are going to be the one's to lose out.
Why cannot the authorities differentiate between genuine naturists, and the perverts that frequent dunes in too many parts of the country.
We had a similar problem, and Police/Authorities action at Saunton some years ago, which did seem to eventually eradicate the problem, but for too long the Naturists suffered by being denied access to the Beach and Dunes.
Fortunately things have returned to the original state, but the number of naturists is greatly reduced.

I am now privy to further information about the problems at this beach.

There is a move afoot to have naturism banned on the whole of the beach and not just on the portion within one mile of Pembrey Country Park as was the de-facto situation in the past.

One reason for this is a significant "pest" problem on part of the beach. This problem seems to be mainly in the area near the rocks which have traditionally marked the beginning of the naturist portion.

I would therefore recommend that all naturists go at least 200 yards beyond these rocks.
