Next weekend Beachwatch arrives at Shoreham (Portslade) along with a few other locations around the country. This is an an annual event organized by the Marine Conservation Society and involves surveying the types of litter and other rubbish on beaches around the country, and doing a litter pick on the beach concerned.

B.N, has been working to increase the number of naturist beaches in involved. I am organizing the survey and clean up at Shoreham, and would be pleased to see anyone on this forum who can help for and hour or two next Sunday 20th Sept. The meeting point is the parking area at the western end of the (unofficial) naturist beach at 11.00hrs.

This beach is owned by Shoreham Port, who have given the go-ahead. Weather permitting we can be naked. To comply with the risk assessment you will need to wear something on your feet, sandals, beach shoes or whatever, it is a shingle beach so you probably would anyway. Safety footwear is NOT needed ! Please also bring a pair of stout gardening gloves if you have them.

The job is unlikely to take more than a couple of hours so there will be plenty of time to sunbathe and swim afterwards. If there are any questions please ask here or p.m me, and let me know if you are coming along.

Thanks,

John

Well it wasn't a bad day, was it John?  We managed to fill eleven binliners as well as get rid of a few large discards.  Apart from You, John Kendrick and I, it was great that Fred, a veteran of Shoreham Beach joined in to help as well as Yvonne's yong grandchildren.  Buster was very enthusiastic, which augurs well for the next generation.

I attach a stream of photos for your merriment.  I though I looked particularly military in my attitude   8-).

Hugs, Will

As Will said we had a very productive day at Shoreham. I just hope that if I do manage to get down there again this season it is still looking reasonable.

I don't know what your local paper is like for news, but I think the sight of filled black bags would be a good picture for them as well as showing naturism in a good light.
