Has anyone got any information on the sea defence work that has been taking place here...? Will it be finished before spring...? This is my favourite time to start using this beach.

Can you advise where this is?
Not heard of this place and many places are often known by other names.

Just been on www.geograph.org.uk & just seen a photo showing footpath closure relating to a Tetley to Saltfleet flood defence scheme, pic was uploaded in July, so it's possible you might get information from an Environmental Agency website.

LOL I hope they get the sea defence thing sorted in time for summer as I understand it has been ongoing for many months already. I didn't realise it is going down the coast for so many miles though.

May not be continuous, be surprised if EA had budget for that. On 1st. investigation this area & neighbouring Donna Nook seem muddy & marshy, is there any sand ?, or due naturists just use the dunes ?

There's plenty of sand at Horseshoe Point and Donna Nook and also at Theddlethorpe. If you venture very far out though it becomes salt marsh. The whole of the Lincolnshire coast is amazingly remote and a great place to spend many hours in the summer.

So it seems, having read the Theddlethorpe thread recently, hopefully thanks to these threads more naturists will be aware of their existence & use them.

I certainly hope so as Theddlethorpe and Horseshoe Point used to be so friendly and so busy. It would be really nice to get them used in the spring/summer months but they are very remote and quite difficult to find. Horseshoe Point is a three mile drive from the coast road to the main car park so can be a bit deceptive but it is well worth a visit. Even when you have parked in the car park there is a twenty minute walk to the area behind the old airfield. Fab place...! I love it.

So the naturist section is adjacent to North Coats or Coates airfield, to the left (north) of the access track I see on Google Earth.

As you approach North Cotes from the south the road takes a sharp left. At this point there is a track that runs right to the coast. This is the track you need. As you park in the car park you walk north to  the area behind the old airfield. It is to the right of the old airfield or on the beach side of the airfield and is truly beautiful on a nice hot summers day. OK so you get the odd dog walker but the place is so remote you never get a lot of nuisance people down there. If you want to be even more remote, walk even farther north past the old airfield and then you are assured some peace and quiet. It is a truly beautiful place to be.

i totally agree, on a nice day its a loverly spot
there is the odd light aircraft taking off but i guess they are more worried about crashing than a naked bloke on the beach
only ever met one other naturist there but i have only ever been midweek

Mid week is definitely the best as there is usually no one around. The weekends are fine but there can be a few dogwalkers around and quite a few textile sun worshippers.
