When it is warm enough I often strip off when walking my dog in the fields and woods in the middle wick ranges danger area - especially when the red flag is flying because hardly anyone else is there so I don't have to be quite so watchful.  Only once did I meet anyone close enough to notice - I ducked into a handy side path and slipped my shorts back on - came out and said I hoped she was not upset - she smiled and asked if I had been naked!!

How did you answer? Honestly, or did you go all bashful?

Come on, you can't stop half way through the story 😀

Have fun,

Ian.

I just said yes it's such a lovely day. She was not at all concerned about it, and carried on with her dog. Once out of sight off came my shorts again - no drama at all. She MUST have seen me before I ducked into cover.  I have decided that if this occurs again I will just cover my 'bits' and carry on.

Excellent! that is the response that we all hope for (and in my experience, is by far the most common reaction). I always find cheerful non-event encounters like this both uplifting and empowering.

Thanks for sharing.

Have fun,

Ian.

Further to this post - I would NOT recommend Friday Woods for nude walking these days as the MOD have improved the area to create a 'country park' - this is great for dog walking, but far too busy to risk stripping off.  Donyland woods which form part of the range danger area are fairly OK when the red flags are up though.

Sorry to be a damp squib, but the danger area, when the red flags are flying, is just that, a danger area, because there is "live firing" going on!
Anyone found in the danger area, when red flags are flying is committing an offence, like it or not.
I have used the area for well over 50 years and this had always been the case.
Live rounds do stray, I have heard them.
People who abuse the rules not only risk serious injury or death, they can be fined, and in fact could "spoil" access rights for everyone.
