Whenever I go on holiday to South Devon I like to visit Slapton Sands, which is between Dartmouth and Salcombe. It is a long golden crescent of shingle beach about 3 miles long. If you use the car park at the Dartmouth end and then walk back along the beach towards Dartmouth there is a naturist area. I don't know whether it's an official naturist beach but everyone at that end is usually naked.

Hi as far as i`m aware it is but they have given up putting signs up as they get stolen , thats my favorite beach i`ve posted elsewhere about it on the forum and i`ve been there many times . As you rightly  say from the car park you walk onto the beach and head towards Dartmouth ( left ) if you follow the path along the cliff side you will reach some old rusty boat winches . From that point on the beach is naturist . At the start of the naturist section you get a nice mix naturist and non naturist people then further along tends to be fully naturist . Rich

Thanks for the good vibes about Slapton guys, I'm off camping at Manor Farm next week and looking forward to some lazing on the beach. The BBC are promising good weather in the South for then, so I'll take my waterproofs.

I've been going to Slapton since a kid, its a gr8 beach and nice for swimming too, just hard to walk on the tiny pebbles.

Hope you have a gr8 time!!

Thanks, lovely pic too, I'm guessing that's the naturist bit following the rockfall at Pilchard's Cove? Don't mind small pebbles too much, I was at Budleigh in June and they have BIG pebbles! Still, the weather was gorgeous so I could put up with slight discomfort, (I'm a bit weather obsessed at the mo, the Met Office can't seem to make up their minds from one moment to the next, what's new!)
