Shame you had a cold sea, I was at Saunton wednesday and the sea was warm at least up to waist height, although it was cold the week before.

Were you able to enjoy the beach and sea at Saunton as nature intended?

Last time we were there, a couple of years ago, there was a large sign by the entrance to the beach with a list of warnings, one of which was 'no naturism'.

However, a ten minute stroll south from the car park near the hotel and we felt perfectly comfortable stripping off. On that occasion we had a long chat with a regular who said it wasn't a problem.

During the past week, I have used the beaches at Saunton, and Wild Pear, sunbathing and swimming nude, and even today had an evening nude swim at Woolacombe.

Nudity is no problem at Saunton if you are sensible and descrete, i.e. keep a fair distance from textiles and use a windbreak if on the open beach, have been down about 6 times this year mostly using the North Tail area about 2 miles down from the main car park at the south end of the main straight but you don't have to walk that far down the beach as you have found, also please see the thread for this beach in the forum.

Thanks for the info - very much as I suspected, but appreciate the feedback nonetheless.
