Hi we are going to  Menorca in a few weeks time. We are staying in Son Bou and I know about the beach there. Any recommendations for other beaches.

Hello. I'm currently in Menorca. La Vall is another good beach to go nude on.

We stayed at St Thomas a couple of years ago and used Biniguis Beach, a 10 minute walk from our hotel.

Binigaus is indeed a lovely beach (as is Son Bou).

When we were last on the island a few years ago we discovered attitudes to nudity were refreshingly relaxed. Outside the main resorts it wasn't at all unusual to find occasional nudists amongst otherwise textile sunbathers and swimmers. And when the swimming pool at our privately owned apartment in Son Bou was quiet, we sunbathed and swam in the buff without problem.

We found a good number of bare bathers at the southern end of Cala Mesquida:

Also at Calas Presili and Playa de Capifort also on the north coast.

Thanks for the ideas.
We went to Santa Thomas years ago when the kids were young. Our only experience of nude sun bathing at that time was on a beach in Ibiza when the kids were babies.  We didn't
Know that there was a naturist beach close to Santa Thomas. if we did maybe we wouldn't have waited another ten years to become naturists

I have visited Menorca many times and agree with Sunchaser that you can get naked on most beaches especially any of the 'virgin beaches'. You often get a good mix of textiles and naturists. I have often been to a beach where everyone is textile and stripped off and its fine.

Son Bou, Binigaus and Santa Thomas are often mentioned and they are great if you like long sandy beaches. I prefer the smaller beaches and coves. This one, where I go for my eary morning swim is only a meter wide.

Glad to hear your experience is much the same as ours Chris, concerning how laid back attitudes to beach nudity are on Menorca.

It sounds and looks as though you've found a delightful spot for a swim from the miniscule beach you've discovered.

In case it's of interest to anybody, I believe the Tramontana Park Aparthotel at Playas de Fornells, on the north coast of Menorca, has a designated nude sunbathing area on the roof. It certainly used to - although I haven't been there, the marketing manager told me it had.

I can't see it's mentioned on the website, other than a reference to a 'solarium'. But if anybody is interested in staying there I'd strongly recommend contacting the accommodation before booking, to confirm they still have the FKK nudist facility.

And I'd be very interested in feedback if anybody does go there.

As well as the one's mentioned above, we've been nude at Cala Prisili, Cala Macarelleta, Cala Algereins and Cavalleria and Binimela in the north.

You can see the various beach names and their location on this Google satellite view:

We were at Santa Tomas in 2012 and planning to return this year.
It only takes about 20 mins to get to the naturist beach from the hotels. Some days just for a change we walk to Son Bou.
