We are going to Glasgow area in the summer, Anyone been to this beach. Is it busy? Are the ferries to the island expensive?

Ive been to Arran. It is lovely. A bit more populated than other Scottish islands though!
You can wildcamp all over Scotland as it isn't illegal. Choose your site wisely and naturist moments can be had! (lack of warmth  :-/  and pesky midges  😮 can put a stop to naturism though)

I've not visited Cleats Shore but there is a nice textile campsite and a pub at nearby Kildonan.
Ferries, check out Calmac ferries website. Regular ferries.

If you are just wanting to enjoy a clothes free day and avoid the travel and ferry, I might suggest Ardeer beach in Ayrshire.

I have not been as we frequent the east coast but not usually for naturist sunbathing, though if warm enough we would, go to Tentsmuir near St. Andrews.

Happy Holiday

Ferries were about a tenner per person return, cars about £60 return last year ti give you an idea. I've stayed at the Seal Shore campsite at Kildonan and recommend it - beautiful, friendly and refreshing, good hotel and pub next door if you need them.

Smooth again, stayed hairy for as long as I could.

I've never been to Cleats Shore, but have been looking to go there for a couple of years. If you had time going around the west coast, the little ferry that goes across to the top of the island looks interesting, which is Calmac as well.
