My wife and I spent several days on different Greek Islands in July.  We had the most amazing time.  We where able to be nude on beaches on the Islands of Rhodes, Santorini, and Mykonos.  The best beach was Faliraki Nudist Beach.  Here is a link to their website: http://www.faliraki-nudist.gr/   It is a very clean or organized beach.  Everyone is nude!  There was a mixture of couples, families and singles.  There is also a nice small cafe with drinks what provides all you need for a great day.

On Santorini, we rented a car and drove to Vylchada Beach.  It was a very quiet beach and gorgeous scenery.  We walked about 50 m to the past the few umbrella loungers and were able to be completely nude.  We share the beach with a few single men and three other couples who were also nude.  It was nice to be on such a beautiful black sand beach.

On Mykonos, we took a public bus to Paranga Beach.  It was the most crowded beach with many tourist and locals.  We were able to be totally nude on lounge chairs to the far right of the beach.  There were a about eight couples in the same location that were also totally nude.  We were able to walk to the water nude and the textiles did not seem to be bothered.  The beach was perfect and even though most of the island was windy it was calm on Paranga beach all day.  The beach manager did come around and ask all of us to that were nude to wear swimsuits the next day as the locals would be there and would not want us nude.

All in all it was a perfect nude beach experience!

All sounds great! Thanks for the report and glad you had a good time.

Interesting to hear first-hand the latest news on beach naturism where you visited.

Living on Mykonos (and as a beach manager - sun bed attendant) I have never heard of any of the locals complaining because people were naked on Paranga beach.  I'm surprised at Petros (the beach managers name) asking that people wore costumes but if he did i think it must be a first.  I will ask him tomorrow when I see him and ask why!

The Island is blessed with about nine naturist friendly beaches and many other out of the way beaches where clothing is optional.

Don't let it put you off coming back, The Mykonians have a saying - "There are only two type of people in the world, those that have never been to Mykonos and those who will return."  I am definitely one of the second!!!!!

The island of Syros, on the ferry route from Mykonos, has a beach, Delfini, that has a naturist section. It is a very nice beach and no one makes any comments about wearing clothes even when locals are about. It is very rarely too crowded and has a good taverna and bar.

Glad you had a great time in Greece. We used to go there on vacation too and I found Captain Barefoot to great help. I wish users would keep sending in beach reports so it can be updated
Best regards Søren

I spoke to Petros today.  He tells me that it was because the Greek Orthodox priests from the local monastery were having a meal in Kalhua (the beach restaurant) the following day.  Nudity is now fully restored and available to everyone!
