Hi all,
Does anyone have any experience with this beach ? Have seen mention of being cutt off by the tide !
Cheers
Hi Cordon
There are two ways to this beach (I found out the hard way).
The main one is to pay to park in the farmers field and walk the length of the beach to the nudist area. You will have to watch out for high tide though, 'cos you will get cut off and it's a long walk around.
The alternative is to park somewhere on the top road, walk across the fields and climb the ladder down the cliff side.
If the tide comes in then, you still have the exit.
Hope this helps.

Cheers chris.
How far up the beach is the nudie section ? Also, any experience of undesireables ? I'm planning on taking a lady friend in a few weeks so want it to be an entirely pleasant experience !
If she is important to you, why not check it out for yourself first?
That way you can make an informed judgement based on your own requirements.

It's about a 5-10 minute walk from the car park to the beach itself. When you get to the beach turn right over the rock and cross the sand to the rock at the far end. Another 5-10 minute walk.
Although you do get a number of watchers, you can either find flat rock to lie down on in the open, or you can find more secluded spots within the rocky area.
I think that John's suggestion of going to check it out yourself first is a good idea though.

For the current week Easytide is a good bet.

it is a stunning beach, and can find some interesting things washed up there also, from old ship timbers etc through to some nice fossils.
I often walk along that beach, have never gone nude though. perhaps later on today if the weather holds up
Hey all,
Weather is looking ok for tomorrow, so looking to get down to Monknash in the afternoon, aiming to get there around 2pm, which is pretty much low tide, so hoping to spend a few hours strolling around. If anyone is interested reply on here and maybe we could arrange a meeting point?
went to monknash this afternoon at high tide - it's somewhere I don't often go because of the characters it seems to attract but this afternoon it was just me and sunshine for half an hour. it's a really lovely spot down there when the sun is out, the sea was as flat as a mill pond. another couple of people turned up but they seemed nice, so a good day.
nothing beats some music whilst the sun is shining on the beach!

yeah always best to check the tides before going to monknash, not much fun walking over the rocks, when the tide is out there's no where better, you can walk for miles along the water and hardly see another person, hoping to get down there myself tomorrow
I lived a 10 minute walk from there for years so i know it like the back of my hand, one of my favourite spots in the UK.
I may just go down again tomorrow afternoon, it's quite nice when the tide is in and the wind is down, was really calm down there today.

Busy going to another naturist venue tomorrow.. but I vow to get to Monknash this summer at some point!!
So I went down again today and met the bad side of monknash. It was a fair bit cooler with the wind, but nonetheless a nice day. I saw one person whilst I was there, who walked past clothed. He went around the side and stripped off, but the tide was coming in so he then walked back up to me, clothed again.
Seemed a nice chap, and asked if he could join me, and I'm not a shy type so I was more than happy for him to stay. he stripped off, revealed his erection and said "I'm horny I am"
It irritates and offends me that people think that's alright. Laying by the beach, listening to music with my eyes shut, minding my own business. The assumption by these characters that someone without clothes is automatically a swinger and gay is enough for many people to call it a day at that. I ignored him and he apologized, got dressed an left, but that would be understandably intimidating for many people, especially girls. I haven't had anything like that happen in Germany or Greece, yet here it's alarmingly common.
sorry to rant, but these characters really anger me. Vale residents have a very dim view of "nudies" because of this behaviour, after all, it's everyone's beach - and that makes it harder for people like me that are still part of communities in the area which is a shame, too many assumptions by closed minded individuals, but seriously innapropriate behaviour is the root of it and I think wherever possible it needs to be confronted and stopped.
