Having just become a junior member, am interested in hearing from anyone wishing to walk around Surrey/Kent/Sussex this spring or summer. Phil
I have posted about walking naked around my neck in the woods last summer and given enough people where we could find a good location, inform landowners prior to this I am in.
The reason I say inform land owners is because I am aware a farmer reported to the police that a man was walking across his farm naked. That man was me. I have not been back since.

are there any clubs like this in the south/east/west wales area because oi would be interested in joining
I am a member of SOC, but yet to get to a walk. Tried beach walking last year. Maybe better to walk in a group. There is also the Saturday Walkers Club - they have a page on naturist walking but also many maps. I would like to do Stonegate to Robertsbridge.

Not currently, but the idea of possibly starting one was raised at the S Wales BN Meet and Greet recently.
A big thank you to the surprisingly small number of people who have replied ! There must surely be more of you out there who would enjoy this - come on ladies and gentlemen of kent, surrey and sussex - let's be having ya !! It'll be a wonderfully exhilarating, inspiring and naked day.

Naked is normal.
That looks like a great group to be involved with. On the down side they are all in the far south. Is there any groups in the north of England that you know about?

No, but you could always start one of your own!

Hardly the way to endear yourself to other members. At this time of the year there are not many thinking ahead to walking in the spring and summer (apart from the Somerset Strolling Bears)

Did I offend you by expressing surprise at the number of replies or was it my attempted exhortation to members to think positively about my proposed walk later in the year? I'm very sorry to have upset you but I certainly did not wish to be controversial in any way.
I must admit I have never seen the appeal in naked rambling. A gentle stroll around our club, on a sunny day, is more than enough for me. If I am going for a long walk I tend to go with all the kit to avoid nettle stings, bramble cuts, sunstroke, dehydration etc

Each to their own I guess. However, for my money you are missing out on one of the best ways to enjoy walking. Personally, I have no interest in joining a club and wandering around club grounds holds no more appeal for me than wandering around my own garden.
I would find your position easier to understand if you did not like walking; however, your note about going for long walks with all the kit suggests that is not the case. as for equipment to avoid "nettle stings, bramble cuts, sunstroke, dehydration etc" I find looking where I'm going deals with the first two and the others are rarely a consideration in our climate (right now drowning is a greater risk then sunstroke or dehydration.) Long hikes away from civilisation certainly require some equipment but where possible I'd rather carry that in a bag or rucksack and be otherwise free.
Have fun,
Ian.
