I am considering going to Corsica in September for a naturist holiday, has anyone got any information on the best resort for a couple who want a quietish holiday with ability to be naked 24/7 Thanks
Annie and I have not been to Corsica for over twenty years, but this is what I have gathered on the French naturist forum VivreNu.
La Chiappa: great scenery (rocks, sand beaches), great for snorkeliing, in an unpopulated areas, you can walk nude along the sea outside the site. No nudity in the shops, in the restaurant. Tends to be more and more clothes-optional: lots of Italian visitors (August), who often get nude only on the beach and near the pool. You occasionally even see people showering in trunks. But is this is OK with you, then La Chiappa is paradise. Several photos in my album on Media Centre.
Riva Bella: naturists often go there because of the spa, which is also open to non-naturists; Riva Bella is only naturist from mid-June to mid-September. A very flat scenery (similar to that of Languedoc in Southern France), with long stretches of sand beach. Most mentions of Riva Bella on the French forum seem to refer to the grumpy reception staff and sometimes to the poor state of the chalets. Some residents are not naturists and visit the nearby textile beach. No nudity in the restaurant or shop.
Bagheera: some say that it's a great long beach, but not much else. No nudity in the restaurant or shop.
U Furu: visitors are unanimously enthusiastic about that site - but it is inland, not near the sea. Apparently the chalets are great, the atmosphere truly naturist. It is very quiet, with a lot of space. Lovely for people who do not need entertainment.
Jacques descriptions are pretty much spot on from what I recollect. It is about six years since we were last there, and we visited all of the resorts mentioned. Sue and I are very fond of the island; some of the inland scenery and the beaches are stunning.
The last place we stayed at was Piana Verde Apartments, which were naturist at the time, but sadly no longer so - which is a shame, because the accommodation was good. And the beach lovely. We also used to camp at another resort - Villata - but that has closed to naturists too!
Chalfont Holidays can help you if you wish:

A wonderful island and still a good selection of naturist places to choose from.
