Hi everyone
I wondered if anyone hear had ever made or commissioned a cast of themselves or their partner.
I am very tempted to get a cast of W
We had a friend who made a "do it youself " cast of his wife and it looked ok but not great It also weighed a ton
Any advice would be very welcome

Probably means that cast iron was the wrong choice 😉
Jacques-- LMAO !!
A and W, this should help. I think the fun part would be applying the goo! ::)
I noticed that http://www.prested.com/natswim.htm say they do bodycasting sometimes.

Here is a link to a UK company that supplies the silicon and bits that you need to do a casting.
Thanks every one I may just try it myself
It will not be easy working alone but will just have to try............ lol
I recently became somewhat interested in sculptures as a potential way to enhance my poor knowledge of ‘art’ and combine it with naturism.
At this place http://www.brightonbodycasting.com you can buy sculptures of other people (or parts of people) http://www.brightonbodycasting.com/sculptures-for-sale.php, buy home casting kits and supplies http://www.brightonbodycasting.com/home-casting-kits.php and get yourself (or part of yourself) cast and made into a sculpture by an expert http://www.brightonbodycasting.com/about-the-business.php but the latter, especially, is rather expensive.
This studio is ‘always in need of people (both men and women) to model for my gallery work and client commissions’. Remarkably, the studio is interested in people with a variety of body shapes. ‘If you've been told you have a great figure, or are supremely fit, or well developed, or muscular, or a body builder or have an amazing bum or great boobs or if you have any really unusual features, then we would be very interested in hearing from you.’ http://www.brightonbodycasting.com/modelling.php
Apparently I fall into categories 1, 2 & 3, and, erm, category 6. The artist I met is a real charmer. I’m thinking of volunteering for, art’s sake’, for fun, maybe for something to show future grandkids and to offset the cost. Perhaps something a bit like this: http://www.brightonbodycasting.com/body-casting-full-bodies/silver-female-body-01.php Is that naturist friendly? Is it vanity? Is it idiocy? Is it art? Is it something that will suitably gobsmack the grandkids in 40 years?
Think I saw this place on TV, they were taking casts of ladies genitals mostly. Something unusual for the mantlepiece, a real conversation starter 🙂
Seriously though, the body casts do look amazing.

Oh, yes it’s been on TV quite a few times now. For example:

Trinny & Susannah get their bottoms cast at Brighton Body Casting https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e_WxoAs09n8
What you’re probably thinking of The Great Wall of Vagina, which is probably artist’s famous work. This has a fun side to it, a grotesque side to it, an educational side to it and maybe an ‘artistic’ side to it. It was most recently exhibited in Milan http://www.greatwallofvagina.co.uk/home
I think I’ll pass on getting my vulva cast in isolation, as it’s neither supremely developed or muscular nor unusual or freakish, and therefore too ‘plain’ to be art. If I get all of me cast though, which seems the most naturist-friendly idea, I’ll throw that it too though, or should that be the goo will be thrown at it?
I think you're right, it was one of those sex education programmes on Channel 4, showing young people what normal actually is. We have such a prudish outlook on the human body in this country, it's no wonder so many young people don't know what is normal.

Yes, we have had professional casts done of Rosie and have also experimented on friends and family. Plaster of Paris bandage is what we used to make the moulds.
I would recommend extreme care with plaster of paris as it is exothermic and if not used correctly will 'burn' the skin. Search:-
'Plaster of Paris Exothermic Reaction Can Cause Serious Burns' it's not pleasant
That's very true, and it should be used with care. However, it was used to do the casts we had done professionally, and we subsequently used it ourselves. Vaseline was applied to the skin first, and the bandages applied a thin layer at a time, which did not result in any significant heat build-up.
Very good point though - thank you for raising it.
This is a photo of one of our attempts at it - as you can see, quite apart from the heat issue, its a messy business!
