An eventful day at Brighton

On what was probably the last day of summer, I finally got down to Brighton beach and it was certainly a day to remember. First there was the large in the sea baptism (non nudist!) just outside the nudist section, with lots of signing and clapping for a good hour or so and then there was a welcomed regular beach user coming to blows with a not so welcome user (said to be masturbating and taking photos of women).

Another unsavoury issue as far as I was concerned was the bloke who kept walking past me, staring at me and then sitting down about 2 metres away from me and staring at me again. I assume he was gay (and probably quite desperate as I'm not the best looking bloke in the world(!), nor am I gay). Even getting dressed and moving elsewhere when I saw what he was doing did little to deter him, when that should have been quite an obvious sign. He seemed to have spent the whole day wondering around the beach, starring at people.

The thing with most of the pervs on Brighton beach is that they don't just stay fully clothed, but they wear more clothes than most people would wear on a textile beach - usually jeans and a jacket, even in hot weather. No wonder they stand out so much.

Other than that it was an enjoyable day out with a good mix of people enjoying the good weather; I've got a bit sunburnt though - not enough suncream!!!

Next definite visit to Brighton for me should be the World Naked Bike Ride next June, which I've decided to do next time, though I may give tomorrow a chance as sunny intervals are forecasted, though thundery showers are forecast for London.

Cheers

Glad you finally made it Boris. Looking out of our window now it's raining quite hard & the sky is completely grey, so my guess is that today will not be suitable for the beach but things could change :-/

If you don't mind not having the sun on your body, why not try rainbathing.
We went out into the garden naked at 7.15 this morning in the rain, thunder & lightning it was 15C and absolutely  great. It's even better on the beach when the lightening is out at sea.

ps. I was at least 3 metres away ;D

A speciality in Wales - we do it all the time!

Rainbathing is a speciality here too, particularly over the last couple of years.  It is good fun, but I somehow can't get quite as comfortable at it as I can when sunbathing - using long term memory here, lol.

Rainbathing? An interesting idea. I suppose that people do use most British beaches when it's raining so as to make full use of their summer holiday or weekend away.

The funny thing is that the first time I ever ventured onto Brighton nudist beach (fully clothed) was as a kid during strong winter winds and rain. Surprisingly enough, there was no one of the beach that day!

Decided against going back down to Brighton today as the sunburn was a lot worse than I thought and I've spent most of the day in bed in great pain  :'(

Cheers

I used to enjoy going out in the rain in our fairly isolated place in France. I'm going to do it in the back garden too when there's a warm rainy night - I'm pretty sure the place is sufficiently unlit that nobody would see even without the customary obstacles to unintended viewing by neighbours, but I'll have the towels at the ready just in case.

Why would the pervs wearing MORE clothing than anyone else be a surprise?   I guess it would be difficult hiding the tools of their trade - camera & binoculars under a pair of shorts & t shirt.

If you are wrapped up in yourself, then you are overdressed!

I am quite open to meeting other folks at organised nude venues that are within my reach financially and socially.

I know the feeling - it isn'tlike we get a fair amount of fair weather. Liquid sunshine, I call it......! 😉

The only trouble with Brighton beach is that because it right in a very public accessible area you will get people that just see it as naked men or women rather than beach goers that happen to be nude. What Boris said about a guy sitting down close reminds me of long ago when Swedish students used to go topless on the beach and you would find a group of fully clothed people sitting around them.
Some how i don't think it even crosses these peoples minds they stick out like a saw thumb.
