Has photo been edited/ resized in Photoshop as can cause issues when uploading

I upload images to http://postimage.org/ which you can then embed a link to in your post.

Has the added benefit of not taking up any space on NC's server.

Sean.

I had that happen to my vertical  shots. All my pics are posted via Picasa  which has this deficiency . A naturist friend told me to use PhotoImpactx3. It works like a charm. Good luck.

A lot of digital cameras store photos in their natural orientation (landscape for cameras, portait for phones), but add a note into the file to say rotate when displaying.  Some software can't read the note.

Converting to another format on a computer will usually fix this.  Any change will do.  Convert JPG to PNG and then back to JPG will usually do it.  You DO lose a bit of quality, but it's quick and easy and any image package will do it.

Interesting I asked el supremo in the apple shop and he did not have an answer but did offer to investigate if I made an appointment and took in my iPad.
Wonder if he would ok seeing me uploading pics to NC?

I just loaded from home. However I would think that as long as the pictures did not depict anything illegal, the apple employee should not object.
