Please has anyone any experience of this Island? We learn that it has an official naturist beach, which is important to us, even though going free-range seems to be ok, 'cos there's always a risk of offending the locals, however remote the beach...
We don't go on holiday to offend the locals...
Cap'n Barefoot is a good site to start with for naturist beaches in Greece. It's a bit out of date in places but gives you names which you can then investigate separately online.
Thanks candfordkid for the link. Just checked Cap'n Barefoot which isn't very uptodate as you say, but useful nevertheless.
A comment about locals mixing freely with naturists at weekends is very reassuring ....
If the beach isn't a town beach and reasonably remote, youre not going to offend anybody. The greeks are a very easy going people and don't bat an eyelid at a naked body on a beach

Thanks stevelorraine for your reply.
It's valuable for us to hear others' opinions. If a town beach is, typically, a no-no for naturism, then we take the view that the locals have some reservations, but are essentially tolerant if we go elsewhere, only 'cos naturist tourists bring in the dosh...
Would still rather tread on no-one's toes, none of the time, never. Greeks also have religious, and moral convictions.
That Samos has a single, official naturist beach is gud enuf for us, but we'd still like to hear from anyone who's been there...
Cap'n Barefoot is a wiki these days, so please add your experiences to it when you get back for the next person who wants to know up-to-date information about Samos.
Good to know Evaquod. These sites are very useful but do need regular updating. Thanks for the heads up.
Good point, well made, Evaquod, canfordkid...
We all of us (I think) hoover up more than we ever put in.... It's a symptom of the something-for-nothing society in which we live!!
So I'm gonna post about our visit to Tingaki last September, in the right thread, so as to even things up. Boldfully I will then go forth with a clear conscience!
