Due a trip to Oslo in the summer ( way to cold before then) Im aware of a few places whre nude bathing is accepted but would appreciate if there are any personal recommendations.
In the Oslo Area there are four official naturist beaches ( or in nfact CO beaches, or free beaches as they called in Norwegian).
Personally I have visited two of them.
First one is Huk, which is located at the Bygdøy peninsula close to the Kon-Tiki and Viking ships museums. This is Norway's most popular and famous nude beach, and it will get crowded on sunny days. This beach was my favorite beach during my studies in Oslo. The beach consist of shallow sandy shore as well as more rocky parts, and spacious sun lawns. I like this beach very much. All kind of people come here on sunny days, families, couples, singles of both gender and ages (except the teenagers of course) and the elderly. There is a small kiosk where you can buy snack and mineral water. easy access from Oslo city center with bus (25 minutes), and a short walk (150 m) from the bus stop. I recommend the bus or bike, as the parking place get crowded in summer. Oslo's most popular textile beach is next to the nude beach.
The other beach I visited in Oslo is Kalvøya, which is close to Sandvika 15 minutes outside Oslo. The local naturist club do a great job to keep the beach clean and nice. If you want to get in touch with other people, that is maybe easier here than at Huk. Is is also more quiet hre. The beach is sandy, with sun lawns. I have only been here once, as it was easier for me to get to Huk as a student without car. To get to Kalvøya with public transport you take the train to Sandvika, from there it is a 20 minutes walk.
The two others official nude beaches in Oslo I have not visited.
That is Svartkulp, which is a small forest lake. I have been skiing and running in the area, and it is an idyllic place. I guess the beach is quite and idyllic too, but as I said I have never been at this nude beach. Easy access from city center. 15 minutes walk from the end station at subway line 6.
The last on is Langøyene ("the Long Islands") in the Oslofjord. Never been here either, but I really wish to! I have heard this is a really idyliic place. Only rock beach, so not suited for small children. The southern part of this island is naturst. Also possible to camp with tent at the island (not naturist). Access form city center by small passenger ferry.
