We are hoping to have a week's holiday near Bezier in late September, early October. Has anyone had experience of the nudist beaches near there at that time of year? is there any chance that it will be warm enough or is it just too late in the year?

Late September and early October should be just about acceptable for warmth - but don't expect hot weather. From weather records, the average mini should be about 15°, and the average maxi around 22° - but then, you might always be lucky and have a much warmer week - or be unlucky and have a much cooler one...
In that region of France late September/early October is part of the rainy season, though: short periods of very heavy rain (and when in the South of France we say "very heavy rain", we do mean "very heavy") can happen at that time of year, after which the sky is rapidly cleared by the strong, wind from the North (called Tramontane in that region) bringing cooler weather with brilliant sunshine.
In other words: do plan other things to do for the days when the beaches are inhospitable.

Many thanks Jaques. Much as I expected, but I'll keep fingers crossed that I get lucky.

We have been to Cap d'Agde in late September and had good warm and sunny weather.

We are at Cap d'Agde at the moment and yesterday was 37C , phew it was hot , cooled down a little today, maybe 34/35 and was hot on the beach , you couldn't walk far barefoot on the sand but the sea was lovely . We are expecting clouds and rain some time this week , just unsure when, it can change .
We leave friday and move north to Deveze another naturist campsite .

I understand that the weather on the Mediterranean coast tends to become rather stormy towards the equinox.

Late summer and early autumn can bring lovely weather in that area. We had  boat moored in the naturist marina at Cap D'Agde and found it very pleasant still., especially as most of the crowds have gone, the whole place is much more relaxed.
If you aren't tied down to one particular place, check the weather for other regions along the whole southern coast, so if its rubbish where you are, there's a good chance the sun will be out a couple of hours drive away and you can go there.

Feel free to get in touch
