I was in Son Bou, on the south coast of Menorca, from 1 May for a week, on my return I sent the following information to another forum member who had a holiday booked there. Maybe this will help you...

Hi,

Got back from Son Bou yesterday having had a great time.

Two bars / eateries I'd recommend are Casa Andre in the main shopping area of Son Bou, excellent food and service, slightly more expensive than some other places, but could not fault it. And Ses Garces, the middle of the three beach bars; food was good, but the ambience and view over the beach at sunset were sensational. One negative recommendation; don't buy wine by the glass at Joseph's place, the "Rioja" was undrinkable, even with my strong stomach I was not prepared to try again.

Walks:

The beach to Santo Tomas and back was no problem and there is a duckboard walk that runs parallel to the beach through the protected dunes, that can also be done naked.

I also walked from the top left corner of the big Santo Tomas car park (west end of the resort) up a track through a farm to some ancient ruins. Apart from covering up for the farm (as a matter of manners) I was able to stay naked for a couple of hours and explore the ruins naked.

The Cami de Cavalls east from Son Bou was very busy when I first visited, but completely deserted the second time. I walked it naked both times anyway and apart from an overheard "he's naked" from one couple had no reaction. The trail is fairly steep after the first section when it drops into the next small bay and then climbs up out of it so it would be a good idea to avoid the heat of the day and take plenty of water.

Shortly after the CdC leaves the road above Son Bou Basilica heading east there is a path off to the right that takes you across the front of the cave houses (all unoccupied while I was there) and down to the flat plateau under the headland. I spent a happy couple of hours exploring the rocks and caves at the end of that (bit scrambly around the caves, you will need sensible footwear to do that and don't try it if heights concern you).

If you ignore the first option to turn off to the right and continue to the gate the CdC goes through and left, another option is to turn slightly right there and walk out along the top of the headland (Ninkynonk Point!). There is a beautiful spot to view the beach of Son Bou from the end and I met no one on that section.

I also walked naked along the CdC both ways from Cala Galdana. Heading east to Cala Mitjana (a beautiful, undeveloped cove). It was very busy, but none of the 30 or so people I met each way reacted badly to me being properly dressed. I did have one (British) couple that kept coming up behind me when I stopped for a drink or photograph and as soon as they saw me would turn back to avoid the naked madman  :o, but I figure that was their problem.

Going west from Cala Galdana, I only went as far as the second lookout point. Again there was lots of traffic, but no issues with any of the people I passed.

Hope that is useful.

Have fun,

Ian.

It's never too late to have a happy childhood.
