Studland, Dorset, not Hampshire, but near Ringwood.

Your best option is definitely Studland.

I was at Ringwood on business a couple of weeks ago and thought I'd 'pop over' to Studland after finishing mid-afternoon. It took 2hours to get there! [worth it though]

Thanks peeps, will have to have a think. The reset of my family are textiles, so it would just be me, which would be the difficult part.
You might want to consider Lepe beach easily reached by car and less of a walk than studland

There is also Taddiford Gap between Milford on Sea and New Milton. It is not used a lot but it is ideal if you want quiet relaxation
