Having found a handy naturist beach in France, my first attempt to take the plunge in a social space was something of a disappointment in terms of overcoming my modesty, as not only were there no fellow naturists, there wasn't anyone else there at all, unclothed ot otherwise!

I figured it might be because standards of beachwear at the (inevitably far less pebbly) principal local beach were so minimal that there wasn't much call for casting off what little remained. But it was a pleasant if rather anticlimatic first time in a notionally public place.
