I'm exploring the local area for beaches to use, today I visited Norman's Beach near Bexhill.

It wasn't the best day today so there wasn't anyone about. It seems pretty exposed and there's no 'official' area so I couldn't be sure where to go.

I'd love to know if there's any locals to the area who use this beach too 🙂

From the Cooden Beach Hotel & Station head West about 3/4 of a mile. Don't cross the railway! If you see cars up against the wooden walls then generally there are naturists on the beach. I park here. However, you may prefer the little parking area about 250m before the railway.

Once on the beach head West. The naturist area is massive and not marked but once you pass the water pump (has a small handrail around it near the fence at back of beach) you are there but most people set-up further down where the groyns are more visible.

A rather apt expressionI think if you were explaining the place to someone verbally!

Thank, I know exactly where the beach is and as I said I've been there recently but on a 'bad' day. Just wondered if anyone actually uses it?

On a sunny Saturday I've seen numbers in the 200+ range. Mid-week sunny days attract 40-60 usually. The issue it has is the fact it's so exposed and this summer being the windiest on record (based on my records from memory, not anything official) makes it less favourable.

I'll make a point to visit on a sunny day! I live near Folkestone but travel down to Brighton for work once every couple of weeks. Gives me a good option of a few beaches to visit en route back!

Normans Bay - mostly guys, or couples etc?
