Just got back from a day on Lagera. OK its not as well known as some of the others but thats what adds to the charm. No sunloungers, no umbrellas, no tavernas just golden sand warm sun a gentle breeze and crystal clear water. It is a bit of a hike to get to it, even from where I'm staying in Santa Anna but well worth the 3/4 mile uphill treck through the olive groves followed by a half mile trek down hill to the beach. The views along the way are fantastic and I suppose the walk could be done naked once leaving the main road as I didn't encounter a sole en route, perhaps next time. There were a good few people using it, singles, couples, groups of men, and groups of women too. It is backed by dunes but a walk through them trying to find the path off the beach showed nothing untoward, just a few groups and couples sunning themselves out of the wind. My tip, if you venture to this beach. Take some water and a packed lunch as there is nothing there. Tomorrow? Perhaps Monastiri beach. I will report back when I can.
