My first nudist experience was earlier in the summer on the continent in a thermal health spa. I and my wife just went there for a sauna and the pool to relax when we realised that nudism was mandatory! I had thought about it before, but she was quite shocked. However, we really enjoyed it. After a few minutes, you realise that everybody is naked, and behaving perfectly normally, with no hang-ups. There was even a small bar where you could sit around naked having a beer. I felt it to be completely normal, as the day we were born. There are plenty of them, in Austria and Germany in particular, so I would recommend that you go!

Sounds great ! Clover spa in Birmingham is very similar and a great place to relax.

My wife & I love Germany! What spa did you go to please.

Because we are considerably younger than your average British nudist (no offense) we find it a lot more comfortable in Germany because of the vast age ranges & equal mix of gender. We've never been to a spa where we have been the youngest, nor heavily male populated. In fact on day we went down to the spa under the hotel I felt in the minority as the room was full of women, possibly 2/3 other males!

It's shame we don't have more legit facilities like this in the UK, perhaps less people would grow up with body image issues if we did.

Couldn't agree more. I was at a UK spa hotel at the weekend and it would have been great if it allowed that freedom but sadly not. Will just need to factor in a visit to Clover Spa of visit Germany.

I love being in my skin

Smash, it's the same in the USA. It seems a crying shame we have such beautiful coastlines in the Florida Gulf, but only one official nude beach! Why can't we have designated Clothing Optional areas for nudists?

I am lucky enough to live near a good naturist spa in Brighton which is only £21 a day or £32 for a couple. I really like it there and it really helps me get my chill on clothes free.

I agree with German and Austrian spas being great. There is a fantastic place in Berlin called Liquidraum

Don't forget there are many nudist swims and other nudist events in the UK - I totally agree that we do not have the same attitude or facilities as Germany (including naked hiking trails), Belgium, Norway, Finland etc but we do have them and many in large commercial swimming facilities (so sauna, steam, flumes etc).
