I noticed today that out of the blue three of my photos had been looked at. Great - that's why they are there. To clear up the where and when.
La Baume is a small but very clear river that runs into the Ardeche south of Ruoms. If I recall correctly the location of the beach is just below the village of La Baume. It was the mid 90s. I recall we parked the car somewhere to the east of the village.
We found it by change. We'd met up with some German friends. We discovered the river and not being so much of a naturist and not knowing their thoughts we dipped in the non-naturist river. We then went upstream exploring and discovered this little bit of paradise. The next day our German friends returned home and we returned to the river. I made a fuss that I wanted to go upstream due to the wonderful rock strata. I definitely recall getting up and walking about naked with other people about, rather than just lying about rater coyly without a cossie. The sky did not fall in, neither was there thunder and lightning but there was another naturist. I recall La Baume with fond memories.
The pics are scanned from slide film. (Remember that stuff?) I seem to recall a mention of this site from a dormant member some years ago.
Perhaps its worth a trip out from Belezy?
