Hi! We are looking into booking a sailing holiday for next year, preferably where we can be naked all day, but also a relatively small number of guests. Never done a sailing holiday before so has anyone any recommendations at all please? Thanks in advance - and apologies to Admin if this is in the wrong section!

There is a Special Interest Group (SIG) for sailing within British Naturism. The SIG leader - Jim H - is currently organising a small naturist flotilla for next year (2016).

He is planning for there to be a one-week option or a fortnight. There are at least two qualified and experienced naturist skippers available, and it is primarily intended for folk who have not been sailing before.

Are you a member of BN? If not, I could perhaps help put you in contact with Jim?

Mike

If you want to organise a charter I could certainly help you. I am a commercial yachtmaster and have done many med charters.  Pm me if you want more details.

I am using this thread to bump this post by Jimh as the flotilla cruise is going ahead and there is a vacancy for a couple on one of the yachts.
The cruise will be from 25 September 2016 - 8 October 2016, in the South Ionian Sea of Greece. September because the sea is at its warmest (26 deg), the winds are less challenging, and the weather usually good. Prices are close to their lowest, and the ports are less busy.
The yacht with the vacancy is already crewed by a qualified and experienced couple so this is an ideal opportunity for you to try a sailing holiday in a safe naturist environment.
Please express your interest urgently to either myself or Jimh as we need to confirm with the flotilla company and they will not hold the provisional booking for ever.

Just bumping this topic as the unfortunate fact that M feels she would be a hazard on a yacht has left a vacancy on this trip.

The Leader of the British Naturism special interest group for sailing has organised a naturist sailing fortnight in the Ionian seas and is looking for people to take up the two remaining places on the second yacht.
Ideally he would like a couple for the entire fortnight starting on 25th September but if you are single or can only manage one week that may be arranged.

He has chosen the Ionian because it is a sheltered area with short distances between ports, there is usually not much swell, and it is full of secluded bays for naturist lunches. It is a very suitable area for less experienced sailors.
The dates are in September because the sea is at its warmest (26 deg), the winds are less challenging, and the weather usually good. Prices are close to their lowest, and the ports are less busy.

The yacht is  http://www.sailingholidays.com/yachts/beneteau-343   the fortnight cruise is http://www.sailingholidays.com/flotillas/south-ionian
Depending on the boat chosen, the cost per person (inc flights and everything else except food & drink) would be around £835 for the 2 weeks, or £595 for 1 week.

If you are interested in this unique opportunity for non-sailors to experience the pleasures of yachting in a safe naturist environment please respond to me quickly (without obligation) as we are not sure how long the flotilla company will hold the provisional booking.

Good to see that Jim has managed to get this trip up and running, it's not an easy task.
Would be great if we could organise a NC trip, the Ionian is a brill place to sail.

I intend to do a fortnight next year if I can fit it in - makes the trip to Gatwick and the flight worthwhile.

I enjoyed watching the video, but when I tried to look at the pics access was denied. I guess I have to ask someone's permission.

Glad to hear that you enjoyed your sailing holiday, John. Sailing the Ionian Sea has always been my idea of the perfect holiday.
