With the floods causing havoc in the UK I thought it might be good for naturist clubs to offer temp accommodation to the vunerable The publicity wouldnt do us any harm either .

Most likely not at this time of year  but they would tell their friends and family what a kind thoughtfull set of very normal folk they were and they might return in the summer.

As soon as you go naked outside in this weather, I am sure they would follow.  ;D ;D ;D

Regrettable there are not that many clubs in the affected areas. I suspect the facilities would be limited for their needs but if clubs feel they can make a contribution perhaps this thread may have sown a seed.

As for dress, lets think of the needs of those in trouble.

I can think of no better way to develop goodwill and acceptance for a beleaguered cause.

It's a great idea, but fraught with difficulties.
True, the clubs have accommodation in the form of lots of caravans on the site. But most of these are members' caravans and it would be up to these members to off the use of the caravan to a stranger.
Also for the offer to be accepted, there would need to be someone on site 24 hours to see to the guests. You couldn't have anyone going and helping themselves to the drinks in the bars. The guests would need feeding, so again you'd need cooks on site. Would members be willing to cook for the guests? How long would this be for? I have heard stories of people out of their houses for six months.
Add some of the horror stories of clubs ignoring requests from BN members for visits and it becomes a non-starter.
I don't know how many clubs have officials reading this forum. I suspect not many. I'm sure that if a club were to offer, it would have been done by now.

Almost all accommodation at naturist clubs is actually somebody's personal holiday home.
As such it will have adequate, although sometimes minimal, cooking and food storage facilities.
Bars and suchlike are always in communal building which would normally be securely locked so that would not be a problem so that additional security staffing would not be needed.
I wonder how many textile holiday homes are being offered for use by flooded out families.

Most sites, if close to the flooded area are probably in a very wet state themselves at the moment, like a local rugby and cricket club where I  am have fenced off the grass to stop people walking on them, to protect them. even so the man 3 doors down was cutting his grass the other morning.

I was sat outside and didn't hear him until the mower started up, he cant see me from the waist down and it was 13 degrees no wind and sunny at the time. The school is closed and the other neighbours were away at the time............Bliss.
