Our first experience was in Yugoslavia, near Dubrovnic at Cavtat. We sunbathed on a terrace built into Rocks at the hotel. This must have been in the late 80s
It seemed the natural thing to do, to go and join in with the others who were sunbathing there.
Never looked back!!
