I thought I would share with you my first proper experience of naturism. I am not sure exactly when this was, but I would guess it was about 18 years ago and it took place at Studland, I would have been around 18 or so at the time as well.

I had long known about Studland being a nudist beach from walking over there and had always wanted to give it a try as the whole idea of naturism really appealed to me. I am not really sure why, perhaps it was simply because of the freedom I felt it offered, or perhaps for what I felt at the time was the chance to do something a little out of the ordinary, dare I say even a little naughty.

Anyway, back to tale at hand. I don’t think I had actually planned for the day in question to be my first proper foray into naturism, like many things it just sort of happened really. I drove over to Sandbanks in the afternoon, found somewhere to park then went across on the ferry as a foot passenger (I will not make that mistake again, after it broke down in 2008 with me on separate sides to my car!!! Perhaps a future tale for the disasters section) anyway, where was I oh yes.....

After disembarking from the ferry I walked along the beach towards the naturist area, by this time I knew what I wanted to do and I was determined that I would actually do it, although like lots of things the nearer I was getting the more nervous I was becoming, the nerves almost seemed to increase with each and every step. However, resisting the urge to turn on my heels and run back to the safety of the ferry and my car I pressed on!

Turning the corner at the point and then seeing the sign about naturists being encountered (are we really the third kind or something?) in x numbers of yards (although being National Trust it was no doubt meters even back then) the nerves really increased again, but still I pressed on.

There was still a lot of people about but given it must have been around 4 o’clock by now, many were packing up and heading home. After walking the last bit, I finally crossed the threshold into the naturist section, at first I was a little unsure what to do. I decided to head up the beach towards the dunes stopping on the beach where the dunes started as I didn’t really wish to simply find somewhere to hide in the dunes, but nor did I wish to be quite so bold as to simply strip off right in the middle of the beach.

After stopping I decided it was now or never, so I removed my shirt and placed it in my bag, I was then about to remove my shorts when I noticed a clothed man watching me, this made me feel a little uncomfortable so I picked up my bag and moved a little further along the beach before stopping once again. I had a look around and all seemed fine, so off came my shorts and as I was placing these in my bag I could see my watcher once again. How I didn’t put my shorts on again and leave I don’t know, I think it was simply because I was so determined to do it, as I felt it was now or never.

Feeling unnerved though and now down to my underwear, I again picked up my bag and moved further along the beach. I stopped and again looked around and all was well, so at last here was the big moment, my first nude experience on a nudist beach, it was time to get naked. But I am sure you are ahead of me already and yes, there he was, my odious little watcher standing there waiting to spoil what I wanted to do. Well with new found fortitude I decided to go ahead anyway, I glared at him (I do that well) so he was left in no uncertain terms just how annoyed I was and then with that I removed my underwear, taking the view that if the sad little man wanted to look then let him!

So there I was, naked at last, and even knowing he was there wasn’t going to spoil this moment, this experience. It really was so thrilling to feel a cool late afternoon breeze over parts of my body that had never really experienced that before. In fact that is my abiding memory of that afternoon, it is also a feeling I still to this day never tire of as there is something so wonderful about it.

I was then able to enjoy a pleasant hour or so on the beach, I even went in for swim, which is another wonderful experience as no matter how small your swimwear might be, there is still nothing like the feeling of being able to swim naked.

So there we are my first experience of visiting a naturist beach.

Well done on being so brave on that first trip despite your watcher. It could have ended so differently in those circumstances, many would have just got dressed and gone home.
Glad you enjoyed it and still do.

my odious little watcher

What a shame these little saddos are spoiling the experience.

Great that you stood up to him.  [smiley=clap.gif]

It's for reasons like him (the odious little watcher that is) that we naturists need to be as annoyed as non naturists about this sort of behaviour. They need driving away from decent peoples environment.  >:(

(ahh just noticed. Do I mean the saddo or the non naturists.?)

Certainly the saddo and maybe the others.  😕

Studland was our first beach experience here in UK, and we have visited on and off for about 15 years now. You get to understand the dynamics quite quickly. The beach level is relaxed general naturist all along. We prefer close to the foot of the dunes, back from the continual stream of walkers who stroll the waterline. But if the wind is strong and off the sea, there is a microclimate back in the dunes. And you now get into territories that soon start to make sense. The top first line overlooking the beach is fine. But moving back away from the sea takes you onto zones where the swingers and peepers congregate. You will not be left in peace in these areas, especially at the end furthest away from the chain ferry end. At the end closest to the ferry tends to have a gay presence, though they do not seem to want to peep and stare at us... cant think why... so this is a more relaxed experience. It is interesting to watch the dynamic over the beach as a whole. 😎

Yes, people watching is part of almost everybody's beach pleasure.  🙂 😉 😎 ::) 🙂
