we will be in the torre del mar/ nerja area in mid sept, has anyone been to the beaches at almanat near torre del mar or cantarrijan playa near nerja, or found anywhere else in that area . thanks
well we are back.
the beach at almanat is well used, we were there friday, sat and sunday afternoons. Sunday was the busiest, lots of spanish family groups on the beach, some were clearly 3 generations. the beach is just off the coast road west of torre del mar, theres a large sign for the naturist campsite so its difficult to miss. the car park we used is actually in the campsite grounds so you can leave your shorts in the car and stroll though the carpark to the beach. there was a good mix of couples and families with the usual collection of single males down the torre end. The campsite backs onto the beach and its cafe has dirrect access from the beach. there is another cafe and carpark a few hundred yards further west but you have to wear shorts or trunks for that one.
The beach itself is a mix of sand and small stones, you need footwear to get to the sea, we got in knee deep but it shelved quite steeply after that, but stronger swimmers than us appeared to have no problems. All in all its a very relaxing spot, no textile gawpers and even the single males seemed to be genuine naturists there for the sun and sea air. Will definatly go back again next time we go to see the inlaws.
