Just back from Sonbou. Having spent the morning laid on the naturist beach I decided to take a walk , as I only intended walking to the end of the beach allI took was my flip flops, however when I reached the end of the beach I decide to walk a little further along the coastal path and ended up walking all the way to Santo Thomas, as I didnt have any thing with me to cover up I didnt have to make a choice as I encountered around 20 folk on my walk all of whom reaceted to me exactly the same way as if I were dressed. On my return I took a track inland through countryside to the far end of Son bou where I turned round and returned to my spot on the beach , once again only positive attitude from all the other walkers.    The next morning I set off around 7 am from our apartment near the water slide removed my shorts for a dip in the pool where I was joined by a lad in swim wear then with shorts in hand walked to the far end of Son bou where a couple of cars passed by a jogger and a dog walker ,oh and the bin lorry, now that took me out of my comfort zone for some reason but a smile and a ola got me by, then I made my way back  down the track to the beach and right up to the hotels for around 9 where there were more folk making for the beach, all who I passed by I greeted, most would respond with a morning or ola and some would stop for a chat .My thoughts are that if you act like you are committing a crime you will get some negatives but if you act like you are doing no wrong (Which I wasnt) then you will only get positives. Now just got to try it in England!!!

In my experience it works well in England. Be careful though it only takes on person who is uneconomical with the truth or their perception of what you were doing to give you a troublesome time with the police. Also don't forget that if you are arrested even if not charged you wont be able to use ESTA to travel to the states or transit through.

Further,

That almost exactly mirrors my experience in Menorca last year. As well as walking to Santo Thomas, I also walked several stretches of the Cami Caval going north from Son Bou and in both directions front Cala Galdana.

Most people simply returned a cheerful greeting, one or two couples either stood pointedly looking out to sea until I passed or refused to acknowledge my existence. I hope to get back to Men orca soon...

Have fun,

Ian.

My wife & I have been to Son Bou & nearby Santo Tomas several times.
You should try the woodland walk beyond Santo Tomas. You can get to three or four beaches and, as they are all clothes free, no one turns a hair if you walk as nature intended (well maybe with boots or trainers!!).

we went to menorca last autumn , staying in the nw  of the island , we visited son bou a couple of times and i walked several bits of the coastal path in the nw , some sections are mostly deserted others busier, one morning i must have met 20 people in the couple of hours walking , only one that gave me an off look was a youngish bloke on a mountain bike.  when you meet couples the female usually has a big grin.

Not quite in the constitution - see this useful leaflet (link) published by FEN, the Spanish naturist federation.

I have never been to Minorca and wonder what are the best places to go with regards to naturism.

Also what is the weather like in May?

I'm off to Menorca in June; looking forward to discovering those naked walks.

It is a truly laid back and relaxed island concerning naturism. We even swam and sunbathed in the buff at the textile communal pool for the small holiday development we stayed at. Likewise on our not totally secluded ground-floor terrace there.

Try this link for some good beaches:  http://baremenorca.co.uk/nude-beaches/
