Our first naturist experience was in 2002 on a beach in Holland.
We were late starters as then both in our late 40's.
Prior to this I had sunbathed nude at home in garden but Karen had only ever gone topless.
In 2002 we took our caravan to Holland to visit relatives in the Hague, we stayed at a site in Kijk Duin on the sea front.
I had visited the beaches many times as a child but had not been for some 15 odd years.
We decided to go for a walk on the beach as it was sunny we were in our swimming costumes.
After a while we came across a sign warning of naturist ahead though in sketch form.
It was very quiet and I just dropped my shorts as we crossed the imaginary line, Karen was surprised but not shocked as she knew i did at home.
We continued to walk and there were a few naked people but it was a mix of both clothed (hate word textile) and nudists.
We decided to go for a swim and as all kids do jump through the waves, then back onto the beach to dry. As we hadn't planned on swimming we had no towels but I hung my costume on a fence and dried in the sun.
Karen bless her lay on the sand, her arms and legs dried but she was left with a sandy uncomfortable swimsuit.
Always full of good ideas I suggested she wash off in the sea which she did but that left her in the same position as before.
OK so take cossie off rinse in sea and walk on beach till dry simple-to my surprise she agreed and there she was naked in public for the first time since pre-puberty!
Luckily a passing Dutch couple took our photo for a lasting memory.
We've never looked back and now most of our holidays are naturist either here in UK-France or Spain.
