I am a single 77 years old male naturist living in the Scottish Borders. I would love to meet fellow naturists but have found that there are virtually no landed clubs, a few naturist tolerant beaches and a fabulous B & B in the Western Highlands. The membership list has very few members in my neck of the woods or indeed Scotland as a whole. Is naturism extinct in Scotland?
If anyone knows of naturist groups in Scotland or private meet and greet groups, I would love to hear about them.

Hello Older
Just under a couple of hours from you going south to west of Newcastle is a lovely naturist club , TANDO . They have caravans to rent and will accept singles no problem at all . If you like a sauna , then there is a wood burning sauna , or in season a wood burning hot tub as well . Am unsure but they used to have an above ground swimming pool as well .There is a very comfortable clubhouse ( if you like a drink , you do have to take your own ) where you can self cater with hob and oven , microwave .The members are wonderful and will make you feel at home .You can always give them a ring and see if they have a caravan available if you fancied some naturist company , I would suggest weekends are busier and more members there .
You will love Charco del Palo .

It is very hard to describe the inner enjoyment of being naked .
You could go to Haddington,

or Arlington in Glasgow http://www.bn.org.uk/activities/placestogo/swims/scottish-outdoor-club-r117/

I haven't been to either, but I've spoken to people at the Aberdeen swim and other members of NC have been to them. Everyone speaks highly of them both
The SANER region of British Naturism is currently one of the most active. It may pay you to get involved.

Many thanks to JulieDick, DnD and John Gw for their suggestions. At the moment I am precluded from joining in the swims, due to persistent leg ulcers. However, as soon as they have healed, I'll be right there.
Tando sounds good and others have also recommended it. Sounds as if the journey will be worth while, so I'll give it a go soon.
Hi Older man 76, no naturism is not dead in Scotland, in the summer months you can visit the Scottish outdoor club at Loch Lomond, I have only been for one weekend last summer and was made very welcome, would certainly recommend it. By the way did you receive my text regarding room share at the Gathering.
Hi OlderMan, I am a member of Tando and I go there regularly.
If you are driving, it takes roughly 1hr 45mins from the Borders.
We welcome visitors and the people are friendly.
Just reading some of the suggestions - as a new member its really helpful, thanks

Unfortunately I didn't get your text. My PC decided to crash and it's taken a while to get my Notepad up and working. I did finally get a room share though.
Hi older man, glad to hear you managed to get a room at the Gathering, it will be my first big naturist event so I am looking forward to it. hope to meet you there. Ken
I’ll look out for you.
