Hello all, Due to Illness I am not allowed to drive, so it is Cycle on the train for me to get to a beach. Warwickshire is a long way from the sea.

I have to depend on all my kit going into panniers (at the back only). It is a mountain bike although sadly I am hopeless at riding on sand. Does anyone know of a beach I can cycle to and still not have my cycle chained in a car park for people to ravage or steal a good distance away please?

Is it just a beach you are after or will any water (e.g. lakes / rivers etc) do?

Re beaches - the lincolnshire coast have very long stretches of sandy beach (25+ miles) but because they slope slowly the tied come high causing the sand to be quite firm. There are many access points well away from the very over crowed town bits so cycling along the beach is not a problem, but many are nowhere near train stations and non are official nudist beaches (yet).

Have you considered inland skinny-dipping?
The UK skinny-dippers group on Facebook or various wild swimming groups could be a useful source of potential locations.

Hi Terry,

Not sure whether you are determined to stick with the cycling so you get some exercise to improve your health ... but an alternative could be to find a naturist near you with a car then visit beaches together splitting the cost of travel.

Thanks for the reply, knowing that I can get there with a reasonable ride from station or a B & B or caravan is what i require. it is just that there are many beaches where it is impossible to bike to. Have been to the one in Kent between Dover and Folkestone on m bike before now. Eastney  i could get to easily. Day visit the beach but not averse to B&B nearby. Just need someone who has been to a beach and realises a person could get there with a bike....  🙂
