Years ago - on a family ski trip - i took a sauna after a long and tireing day on the piste - and discovered in the sauna 8 naked women and 5 naked guys - i was about 17 yearls old. So after the shock and excitement of it all had calmed down a bit, i whipped my speedos off and never looked back!

Nowadays - a sauna that isnt taken nude just doesnt feel right!!!

🙂 ::) ::)

I know what you mean. Being clothed in the sauna just seems a waste of time. Why not be naked and then jump in the plunge pool. Lovely stuff

In at the deep end........what a great introduction........ ::)

Never been clothed in a sauna myself, can't see the point......... 😕  maybe a towel to go in and only to sit on, stops the zebra marks on your legs and bum too........ ;D

Had to smile this week when taking a large group of people for a walk and a middle aged lady was telling us about an experience she had while on holiday.
She was sitting on her own in the hotel sauna, wearing a swimsuit when a German male came in, dropped his towel  and sat naked behind her.
She was terrified, dashed out, considered flinging away his trunks , which were hanging outside the sauna, ran to the pool area, wrapped herself in a towel and lay shivering on a sun lounger for an hour.

I did tactfully explain, trying to keep a straight face,  that it was quite normal to use  the sauna without clothes in several countries such as Germany.   Suppose it takes all sorts.

This reminds me of a (non-naturist) incident some 15 years back in France.

We were having a quiet cup of coffee in a café in France when the lady of the couple with us went to the toilet.
As usual in such establishments the toilet is unisex with a discreet urinal in one corner and the usual washbasin and WC cubicle.
I still sympathise with the man who was having a quiet leak when she entered and gave out a shriek which must have been heard the other side of the market square.
I would have found that sudden yell quite traumatic.

John's comments reminded me of a similar incident in Brussels many years ago. It was my first trip across the channel on business and we were having a drink in a cafe in the central square.
I spotted a sign, WC on a door and was reassured that I had found the correct one as there was a urinal on the wall at one side of the narrow room, , two wash basins opposite and doors to 2 WC's at the end.

Half way through doing what was desperately needed, a young lady  came out of the WC and stood back to back with me washing her hands, she never blinked I did not know what to do.

I know that song... :D.

made a right mess of my shoes too, not so much shocked as startled. Still makes me chuckle thinking about how naive I must have been back then.

fhey've had unisex toilets in Barnsley for years, not really but in town of a weekend night when the ladies is full the fair maidens of Barnsley think nothing of popping into the gents. 🙂 🙂 😀

I had a similar experience years ago at a French ski resort.  I tried to be cool when the rather glamorous looking woman walked in, but I found it interrupted the flow, literally!
