Im hoping to get to Eastney when the weather is right. Ive located the nudie area from Google maps and found the car park.
Would anyone please tell me if its best there when the tide is in or better out.
Is it mud or sand, and can one safely swim in the sea, (water cleanliness).
Thanks Codge.
tide in mainly shingle tide out shingle and sandy bits water good to swim in would recomend swim shoes but not nesccesary
Thanks Dave
I was hoping that it wasn't just mud when the tide it out as mud can be a bit smelly sometimes. Nice to know I can get into the water with beach shoes without any health issues.
It looks as though the nudies area is quite small (Google maps view). Textiles frequent the same area I understand.
Codge.

Closer to home you have Lepe, Calshot and Hill Head the water now in Southampton Waters has very good quality and although it doesn't look very inviting at low water it's ok around high tide which is the best time to go.

Ive heard of Lepe and Calshott, but I always though that Hill Head was another name for Meon beach.
How would I get to Hill Head nudie part. I assume its not that popular as I haven't seen anything about it on this forum.
