Has anyone had experience of using any of the naturist beaches along that length of coast?  I am particularly interested in hearing of any good naturist only beaches.  I have looked on the 'naturist directory' website but recommendations would be helpful.

Depends how far down you are going, I know there are good naturist beaches near to La Tranche in the Vendee and going further down, we have used the naturist beaches in La Palmyre in the Charente Maritime

The beach I like is La Pointe d'Acay near La Faute sur Mer

I know it's too far South to be relevant to you, but looking at the map above I was reminded that number 37 is actually signposted from the main Bordeaux to Verdon road as "Plage Naturiste" - or at least it was when I last drove past.

La Pointe d'Acay is the one near to La Tranche and the ones at La Palmyre are La Cote Sauvage but could be a difficult walk over the dunes or La Grande Cote which is very easy to get to
