It was a lovely day in south Wales today. I took a day off and headed to Monknash. Spent 3 fantastic hours between noon and 3, sunbathing and walking on the beach.
I am shy and tried to avoid the few textiles on beach.

As I got dressed and left the beach, I noticed a naked man walking on the beach. Unlike me he wasn't shy and didn't try to avoid the dog walkers - who didn't seem to care much. I realised that there is no reason to be afraid of textiles and I shouldn't be that worried about them.

I wander whether that naked man I saw at 14:30 was one of us ...  ;D

I believe that person was I!  Did he have have a ginger beard lol.
I got down the ladder around 1.30 after walking naked through the fields, I then walked all the way past the plough and Harrow way to the beach onto the next area you can get to the beach and then all the way back, very quiet today with only a few dog walkers but I don't cover up even if it's busy.  I didn't see any other naked people so you must have been dressed!
I was also down there on Sunday, a bit colder but with no wind it was bearable, it was very busy, but again didn't cover up was just sensible about getting to  close etc, but no one was bothered at all, as it should be.  I did see another guy on Sunday who was partly nude he said he was there as true nudists( sorry if not allowed to mention other sites!) had organised a beach day but no one else turned up! Maybe catch up with you another time ed

It was you Cian! I saw a man with a red beard. You had a (black?) bag on your back, right?

I saw you when you past the stream. I was on the cliff and I watched you with admiration.

I always try to hide or otherwise to make sure that there is no-one around.

But you didn't care! and to my amazement no-one else cared.

Have you ever received nasty comments?

cheers, Ed

Hi ed been going to monknash and other beaches for over 5 years now and still only need one hand to count the negative comments in over 100 visits.  I used to cover up when I first started going but you build up confidence and soon realise that people are not that bothered, I act and behave the same as if I was out walking clothed, I wouldn't approach people if I had clothes on but if I do get close enough I will smile and say hello.
I remember seeing two guys on the cliff as I passed yesterday, I knew it was quiet so wasn't bothered, sometimes it can get a bit
busy in that area to just stroll through, but I judge it at the time.
Heres too many more days down there this summer

No I keep walking past that entrance to the beach where you can go up to the plough and stay on the beach until the next entrance along. I do sometimes go up onto the coastal path though at the plough entrance and walk naked back to where I came from.

Is the ladder safe?

I always park at the farmer's car park and then walk near the stream, then turn right.

I then walk a mile or so, and stay (hide) near the rocks.

Then I go back.

It is a very nice experience but I want to explore more areas of this fantastic beach.

The ladder is safe but can be awkward. It was extended some years ago.
When the tide is out you can walk from the stream to southern down end of beach naked no problem
There's a beach day Wednesday 16th May, meeting at Farmers car park at 10.00am.

Keep On Smiling:)
