Another year has gone by and another trip to Los Gigantes. I was surprised to see that the gates to the rock pool has now been removed. (See my previous post). This meant that it was a little busier this year with a few Russians exploring the pools and swimming up to the sea wall which is not a good idea. I looked up what to say to them in Russian but all I could find was держаться подальше от стены
No idea how to pronounce that!!
Still my favourite place to skinny dip.

Like your Russian - 'stay away from the wall' 🙂
Were the Russians and other users swimming naked also?
Is it a recognised spot for skinny-dipping?
Hi Sunchaser
The Russians I saw were not joining in the skinny dipping, not sure if that is a cultural thing but they weren’t bothered about my presence there. I could not say if it is a well known spot but I have been going there on and off for the last twenty years or so and always enjoyed the place.

Thanks Savsail!
I don't think it would be a cultural thing - Russians are generally very laid back about nudity. Indeed, it wouldn't have surprised me in the least if you'd said they were in the buff - I quite expected it.
I hadn't heard of the pool as a recognised location for bare bathing, but I'm jolly glad to hear you have been able to enjoy it like that! I've used various places in Spain - that are not 'recognised' - without problem .
Thanks for your reply, by the way. Sue and I will have to see if we can find it some time when we are on Tenerife.
Cheers, Mike
