Hi
We are thinking of taking a camping holiday in France. This will be our first attempt at naturist camping. I like the look of Euronat. We want some where with good facilities, and not so small that we feel that we have to join in, Not that we are anti social but we are slow mixers.
The only thing we are worried about is that all the promotion seems to be geared towards family camping. we are a couple in our 50s our children are long grown up.
So as an older couple would Euronat be for us? Don't get me wrong we don't mind being amongst families but will people with children want older couples around.
Reading this back I sound like a right grumpy old git. Honest I'm not. 🙂 Its just that the Wife has taken a lot of persuading and I want to get it right.     Â

The advertisements may be geared towards famiies, but you get all ages at Euronat, including retired people - being a couple without children is absolutely not a problem there.
Euronat seems ideal to me for a first attempt. The place is huge, so bicycles are welcome. There are shops and restaurants within the site, but as always these are more expensive than the supermarkets in the villages around.
Some people are never satisfied - a friend of mine complains that there are two many pine-trees in the site, and the fallen needles hurt his feet when he walks barefeet!
You can get massages, mud baths and the like in their "centre de thalassotherapie".
Oh, and by the way, the site was unaffected by the recent storm that blew across France, they were just south of the path of the storm.
I hope that you enjoy your stay at Euronat.
It is probally 15 years since we last went. We really enjoyed it. The beach was fantastic. We walked for one hour on the beach and never had to put on clothes. When we got back to the ferry terminal we stood watching the ferry arrive and the 2 daughters we had taken where in tears. They wanted to go back to Euronet and not to go home. The only thing like other sites people tended to dress in the evening. Not sure if it is still the same now.
We're in our early 50's, no kids with us and we love E'nat as its very relaxing, pleanty of facilities, no need to mingle/compulsory joinng in at all, in fact you can be very private. the youngsters do not worry or even notice the older people (of which there are plenty) - just like the high street really!
There was a couple opposite who said good morning to but otherwise kept themselves to themselves, but on the ferry back was the first time we actually chatted - not unfriendly when we were there, just respecting the other's space and quiet.
We're calling in there again this year.

You will be fine. We liked it.
Spent 5 days completely nude including evenings in bars/restaurants which is my PB.
We found shop prices were not bad. Biggest supermarkets were cheaper but not really worth getting dressed for.
Its over 800 acres plus the beach which doubles the nude area so plenty of space!
We have friends who walked for over 4 hrs each way nude up to the north! (and they are regular hikers so not slow)

Euronat and CHM Montalivet are in the middle of about 60 miles of continuous beach which can be walked nude, except through town.
Having said that, it is certainly possible to walk naked at the water's edge at low tide from CHM to Euronat and back past Montalivet-les-Bains. I know because I have done it.
I have also cycled naked between the two between dawn and breakfast time, but that it at least two additional stories.

Definitely our family favourite. In fact, our two teenagers, who are never enthusiastic about going anywhere, actually asked if we could go back.
It is just so relaxing and there really is no need to go anywhere else, just park up and relax. The variety of shops and restaurants on site really do mean that you are very well served.
I work in a stressful job and it is a godsend to only have to make one decision all day, pool or beach? 🙂
Our first naturist holiday was at Euronat. We had used our local nude beach for around 3 years before going there but didn't know what to expect. We flew to Bordeaux and hired a car to get around. We had a full suitcase of clothes in case we didn't enjoy the experience so could go off site and sightsee. Apart from the first morning when we went into town to stock up, the rest of the week was spent naked meandering around the site, loving every moment.
I hope you do go and am sure you will thoroughly enjoy it form the moment you arrive.

Without a doubt YES! I went last June and I can't wait to go back in August. People of ALL ages, shapes and sizes and a very relaxed atmosphere. As a single male I had no problems, I've found my own paradise!
100% YES - we loved it, went back, and are going again this summer. I met families and couples who never go anywhere else, one couple were in their 16th year.
Everyone should experience a holiday like this at some point of their life......
