Today, On 4 June 18 my usually textile Wife was nude in the garden for the very first time, and it took me by surprise.
It happened like this. I was already nude outside in my usual place in the sun.
My Wife appeared in the garden with her dressing gown open and naked underneath. I was so shocked, that before I realised what was happening I blurted out " look out your'e dressing gown is undone".
She replied "I know and I'm just about to take it off", which she did. She stood there totally naked without a care in the world. I was stunned, I couldn't take my eyes off her, it was so very unreal. She didn't even feel embarassed.
I couldn't believe the change in her. She has always been totally textile, and now she was totally naked outdoors. Her naked skin lit up in the early morning sun, she looked beautiful.
She sat down next to me and we just chatted with a cup of tea as if we had been doing this for years. The sun got hotter and hotter as we sat there and I could feel my skin starting to burn. I would normally have gone back indoors before now, but I thought I'm not going to give in first and I'm enjoying her nakedness.
After about an hour I was just beginning to melt when she said "well I'm going in now because I'm starting to burn". I was so grateful for that. I enjoyed every minute with her, and hope that this is the start of more nudity together.
I wondered if this makes my Wife a nudist now, it was only in our garden, or would she need to be nude in a public place to wear that badge. Studland is her favourite place.

Codge, Im actually very excited for you. Im in a similar position, although my wife has swam a few times in our pool naked with me, but not regularly. I really can understand how excited you must be.
Im like you, and have decided that Im a naturist, and Im not worried what anyone thinks, within reason. Life is too short, I want to enjoy the things I enjoy.

Ironically, my girlfriend and I discussed the subject again last night, for the first time in months. I mentioned a two-room clothing optional bed-and-breakfast on the eastern border of Oregon. It has a pool and hundreds of acres of private forest land with lakes, streams and a waterfall or two. Two rooms means only two couples, so this would be a safe and mellow introduction to the lifestyle.
Sounds great - should be a great holiday even if she doesn't join in, but allows you to be free.
Confidence in being nude came gradually, my wife is not the type to be rushed! But over the last few years she has overcome her reluctance and now often beats me in ditching the clothes...whether it be beach, holiday villas, a good day in the garden, or more recently skinny dipping in lakes or convenient wild water. She is looking forward to three weeks in the French Jura with all its lakes...she is a much better swimmer than me!!

While mine has always gone naked in sauna's in Europe, because that's normal there, other places often have been a rare occurrence, not easy to predict either what will be the right situation or environment.
Well I got surprised twice over last Christmas and New year. We went to fuerty for festive sun. My wife was reading and relaxing in our room, so I went for a naked beach walk, she won't do that.
On my return I found her laying completely naked on the sun lounger on our ground floor terrace/patio, earphones in, eyes closed and stretched out. She wouldn't neither have seen or heard anyone passing or approaching ! Plus I wasn't there on "guard" LOL.
Was lovely and surprising to find her so relaxed without being pushed or prompted to join in.
For New Year we went to Spa hotel in Czech republic, We were at day 3 and used the clothed area first of what is a part naturist Spa hotel before moving to the naturist section. Which we had used previous days were my wife had been with the aid of a casual towel, as most did.
From leaving the pool you enter a communal clothed changing and locker/shower area. So we each walked into a open bay shower to rinse off and remove our costumes.
What happen next really surprised me, my wife appeared at my shower entrance, completely naked, no towel or anything. Then casually asked if I would like her to get my towel for me !!!!
She had stripped off in the shower, walked naked across the changing room, filled with mostly clothed men and women, stored her costume in the locker and walked naked back to my shower.
We then walked back to the locker with my stuff, she made no attempt to cover at all, then we carried our towels to the near by sauna room. The rest of the time she was care free, hanging her towel up to queue naked while some chap took his turn in a plunge pool, laying naked and wondering around.
Was a wonderful shared time, as the OP, seeing her walk around naked and carefree in front of others less brave was lovely sight and shared experience.
Have to say I couldn't help glancing at her and enjoying seeing her walk around being so relaxed without any bikini bottoms on !

Hi,congrats to you and your wife,I have just had my first experience of naturism at Studland beach,I have always felt comfortable in my own ski and while away for a few days in the beautiful swanage decided to do the walk from swanage to Studland which was breathtaking,I had always wanted to give the naturism a try.
I walked along the beach till I hit the sign and I must have sat therefor about an hour in my swimming trunks before I finally plucked up the courage to strip off,at first it felt strange but after a couple of minutes I felt completely liberated and before long I was in the sea and before long meeting and chatting to some great people from all walks of life.
It’s not going to be for everyone but it made for a lovely day and made me see things differently

LOL - my wife and I were there yesterday and I think we saw you. The water was so brilliant for swimming in. We did left the beach until 7:40pm.
Back there today, but after the mid day sun today. Should be hopefully deserved by tea time as folk run of to watch the football.
