Like most people we're really hacked off with the winter weather so just wondering - has anyone on here done the 'escape to the sun' thing such as going to S Spain or Portugal during Jan, Feb, March. Also is it warm enough to go naked?

We're tempted to take the camper next year and do a mix of camper and apartment (when it gets too claustrophobic in the van) down in S Spain or Portugal. It needs to be somewhere we can drive too.

Anyone here done this?

Thanks

Hi

We have a place in Vera and were there last February. There was plenty of sun though not that hot. There were a few days when we lay out in the sun. We are going out for the second half of March and expect it to be pretty good. On the Veraplayafriends website they do a daily weather check and its hit 20 plus a lot recently.

You will get some grey days and some rain occasionally but generally its a lot better than England.

We are also motorcaravanners. There is a site about half a mile from the naturist area and has plenty of room in Feb and March. Our experience in Spain is that campsites are fewer than France except along the coast. There's also lots of rough camping.

A wonderful apartment available at La Menara... possibly the best part of Vera Playa... pool, free internet and 2 minutes from beach

There are three naturist campsites in Portugal that are open all year. The weather is that of a British summer. There is Montenaturista, naturist365.com and one on the Algarve in Salema which is 50/50 site. If you want further information on any of these let us know
