I am down on my boat in Poole harbour for this beautiful hot weather we are having. Haven't worn a thing all day and just wrapped a hand towel round myself a couple of times when I had to walk a short way along the road. All that and I haven't been near the nudist beach. I went for a walk over Studland and Godlingston heaths. 10km in the nude on a June Saturday morning. The only people I passed were three cyclists who weren't interested in me at all. It is a stunningly beautiful area. If you are down for the beach, stretch your legs and look further afield. You will be glad you did.

Yes, I camped at Burnbake a couple of years ago and walked over to Studland , mostly naked. It's a lovely expense of sandy heath and pine forest.
If I remember correctly , there was an entry in Phil Vallack's legendary 'Free Sun' guidebook for Goathorn Point which is somewhere nearby , although I'm not sure about access these days, as there are oil wells in the vicinity.

Not to accuse, just to ask, what are the thoughts on naturism on the heath given the NT as landowner ask for naturists to be clothed outside of the designated c/o area at Knoll Beach?

I'm all for naturist walks and do quite a bit myself from time to time in open country and on public footpaths, but I would strongly hesitate as doing so at Studland. All things considered (and know there are essays to be written on the matter) it seems jolly decent of the NT to maintain the official status of the beach (as well as look after everything), and whether I have the 'right' to walk naked or not, I wouldn't necessarily feel comfortable going naked in an area they ask me not to.

It's a lovely area and fantastic beach but all the gawkers put me off last time I was there. One bloke must have walked past 10 times and only I was naked. Definitely put my ex wife off and my new girlfriend being against naturism, is never going to encourage her to change her views.
Hopefully it has changed for the good of naturism but I didn't enjoy my last visit.

Recommend getting your phone out and take a photo of them. They quickly disappear.
