I have repeatedly written in this forum about naturist resorts in France closing. But quite a few new naturist resorts are also opening all the time.
Unfortunately the laws of the market make it likely that the naturist resorts snatched by large financial groups that run holiday resorts (textile resorts, of course) are the larger, established ones, whereas new naturist resorts that are created are usually very small operations at first - and hoping to grow  🙂
A very recent naturist resort (opened in June 2018) that was created in France in a rather unlikely area (in north-east of the coutnry): Les Les Etangs de Saint Pancras
It is set in vey quiet totally rural surroundings, with only 20 pitches (with 10 more added next year), with large ponds, camping pitches and apparently a couple of wooden huts, no swimming-pool yet, no shop, and no specific facilities for camper vans - just a very quiet area in the countryside. The nearest village has a population of... 50, and the nearest town (and railway station) is Vesoul, about 25 miles to the south. The resort can be reached from the motorway A31.
Perhaps a place to stop over for the night if you are driving from the French or Belgian channel ports to Switzerland, Austria or Northern Italy.

Thanks Jacques - it is important that we support these new ventures as they do replace the ones that get swallowed up by the (possibly) more lucrative textile campsite market.
I love the name...presumably hoping to cash in on Eurostar trippers!
One challenge for them, which is the same for our UK sites, is the poorer weather in the north. However, we were looking for a naturist site in the NE in September but this one did not appear on any of the usual listings (on google). We've got a camper van so perhaps it wouldn't have worked out anyway. Their website does not seem to work, but their Facebook page does.
Hope they succeed.
