.Does anyone have any knowledge of the acceptance of,I naturism on the general beaches in Carmen ?  I know there is a naturist area near the airport but I will be with none naturist friends presumably on the main beaches, Also interested in any inland walks. Thanks

The airport beach now has a walkway running the length of it and I think is no longer heavily used by naturists. There weren't any there when I went 18months ago. Have a look at the NudeLanza website. Theoretically, you should be able to get naked on any Spanish beach but it would take a braver man than I to be the first to strip off on a beach full of swimming costumes. In saying that, I did do it once in a sheltered spot, and got told to put something on by the lifeguard. Another embarrassment for the wife!! Lol!

Seeing as how the village of Charco del Palo is within a 20-minute drive of Puerto del Carmen, and the entire community is clothes-optional, musing on PDC's facilities may be a bit unnecessary.

It has long been possible to be naked 24/7 in Charco del Palo and to stroll its streets and headland without a stitch. There are two "sea water" pools replenished by the incoming tide for those who fancy a swim, though the pool surroundings aren't especially attractive or comfortable. For the adventurous, there's also a miniature dive platform from which to plunge into the sea, though having tried it once I haven't done so again: the inshore current can be strong, and the overall experience not that pleasant.

A small strip of sandy beach stretches the length of front-line villas and bungalows but other than that, there's no beach at all -- a demerit which led to us not bothering with Charco del Palo any more, despite several sequential years of visits. Rather than bother with Lanzarote at all -- where the wind can sometimes be as strong as that on Fuerteventura -- our destination of choice is Vera Playa and a Mediterranean climate that's less aggressive and a naturist beach that's still one of the best anywhere in Europe.

I replied on the basis of him being with non-naturist friends and therefore wanting a CO option. Think non-naturists may be a bit uncomfortable in Charco - although my wife did manage to strip off in one of the stone circles and tolerate my naked walk along the coast - she in tshirt and shorts!

I wouldn't  have thought there were any naked opportunities in  Puerto del  Carmen.
We have only stayed  there once, many years ago when our children were young, and before  we discovered  naturism. Even then it was very heavy populated by tourists.
A few years ago on our return from Charco, our flight had a predicted seven hour delay. The airline, Thompsons, bussed us back into P.D.C to feed us at one of their hotels. Remembering that the apartment that we stayed in all those years ago was on the edge of town we set off to see if we could find it. Well, long, ( and off topic, and probably boring) story short ). These apartments were now a good two miles in from the edge of town.  So my point is, that Puerto Del Carmen probably isn't a good place for naturism.
If you have a car, then Playa Blanca is further Southwest.  If you drive on to the national park on the east of the town (small toll charge) and park up in the carpark above on the hill,  a short walk takes you to some C O beaches.

Walk south our of PDC along the coast path and halfway between PDC & Puerto Calero there are some steps down to a nudist area at Barranco de Quiquere, no sand but flat rocks and rock pools

Managed to  walk the whole length of the main beach naked every day before 9am,  take a swim at the end and walk back, there are mostly joggers and early regular serious swimmers about on the beach and walkers on the prom. The only other naked was a bloke who joined me on his last day for a swim,he said he wished he had just got on and done it at the start but felt vulnerable.

SO after lunch went for a walk on the beach,  the tide was well in which  formed a  few  coves you had to paddle between although each  bay could be reached
by steps from above.Found a bay with about a dozen folk in asked a couple if it was ok if I went naked thry shrugged their shoulders so I stripped off, no problem with others in the bay or with the folk who paddling by. After one of my dips in the sea I glanced up to see a policeman  looking right at me from above, thought oh sh,,t but by the time I had got to my spot on the beach he had gone so I stayed for another half hour or so . Good day ,home tomorrow.
