I'd like to recommend a nice beach walk.
The starting point is Dunraven bay parking. From the car park climb the hill towards Dunraven castle. It takes only 10 minutes.
The scenery form the top is breathtaking (see attached photo).
The bay below is called Temple Bay. To reach it use designated steps. They are very safe. The bay is not heavily used, but naturists usually do not strip off there, because you will be exposed to the people on the top.
Walk 1/2 a mile a long the beach and it is safe to strip off. Most likely from this point you will not see a soul.
Continue for another 1/2 mile and you will see a ladder attached to the cliffs. This is Wick bay.
Another 1/2 mile brings you to Monknash. The rock area is used by both naturists and gay that unfortunately often engage in some sexual activity. You may stay there or not, depending on whether you like being with other people.
In a nice day you are likely to see 10 naked men there (and rarely women too).
You may walk one more mile till the cwm but then you are likely to meet textiles, as the the cwm is the entrance to Monknash beach. Naturists usually do not walk there.
Time to walk back.
The whole walk may take between one hour to three hours, depending on how many stops and rests you take.
Check the tide table, this walk can be done at low tide (altogether a window of 5-6 hours, namely two/three hours from each side of the lowest tide).
Be careful, not to get cut-off.
Enjoy the walk. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking!
Hi Edward, done this walk many times, strip off at the viewpoint and then along the beach, then walk up by the plough and Harrow entrance and loop back along the top on the cliff top path, I'm probably a lot braver than most but had no issues passing textiles anywhere on the beach or cliff top path and naturists regularly use temple bay. Try it midweek and it will be a lot quieter and maybe you could stay naked for longer

I think, however, that most of us prefer to avoid textiles. Personally, I like to walk naked knowing that there is no one around.
Thanks both for the recommendation and pointers. Really handy! I almost always go to Kenfig but I grew up nearer Southerndown so I know Dunraven fairly well. Never been down to Temple/Wick bay though. Perhaps I should rectify that this summer!

I've been to both Kenfig and Wick/Monknash numerous times. It is a different experience.
Kenfig, as you know, is a long stretch of dunes and sand.
Wick/Monknash is dominated by the imposing tall cliffs.
The atmosphere is different, the experience is different.
In Kenfig people usually stay in the dunes, as a walk along the beach is exposed. In Monknash people usually stay in the rock area.
I love Monknash more than Kenfig. I think that it is more beautiful and the atmosphere is more special.
