Wife suggesting Menorca for September. Any suggestions which resort we should be looking at for easy access to a naturist or CO beach? Wife is textile so not looking for naturist accomodation.

Two resorts I have read about. Son Bou has a large beach with a CO/nude end which apparently starts imperceptibly from the textile. Or Santo Tomas with nudity common on its beaches like Binigaus. I don't know of any naturist accommodation in Menorca anyway.

Check out Beach Inspector it will tell you everything you need to know about all the beaches on Menorca. Better still download the app & take it with you.

Wish someone would invent a body iron

Son Bou is a fabulous beech, just walk west (right) along it from the town until you find a quiet part to strip off on. There's no real demarcation between textile and CO.

There are plenty of naturist opportunities in Menorca. See https://baremenorca.co.uk/

I love Son Bou. As others have said, turn right as you get on the beach by the car park and you can strip off whenever you like. The beach extends a huge distance in that direction and you can walk the full length of it (or the boardwalk behind it) naked. I have a few photos in the Media Centre.

We have stayed at Hotels in Cala Galdana before, which has its own textile beach, but you can walk from the town across the cliffs to Cala Macarella which again is mainly textile but a short walk on to Cala Macarelleta which is a smaller beach and more secluded, which on my visits to Menorca has mainly been naturist.

Many thanks for taking the time to respond and for the info itself. Have done the usual googling but when you don't know the island, trying to sort out where they all are and where the best place to be based would be, takes some sorting. Also, there's nothing like personal recommendations! Thanks again.

I'd recommend Santo Tomas. From the resort centre its about half a mile to Binigaus beach and the same to the north-western end of Son Bou beach via the cliff top path. Both are used by clothed and non-clothed alike, are sandy with easy access to the sea and plenty of room. In the little coves under the cliffs at Binigaus there is some privacy so your wife may feel more comfortable about joining you naked. Directly outside both resorts many women go topless. However, unlike Fuerta I didn't see anyone walking naked away from either beach. From Santo Tomas buses can be caught to either end of the island without changing. From Son Bou, I believe only Mahon can be reached without a change of bus. I wish I was going back. Great place - enjoy!

I agree, San Tomas/Binigaus is very nice. As you approach San Tomas from inland, the car park is where the road meets the sea and turns left into San Tomas. Park there, and walk west (right) along the Came de Cavals (coastal footpath) and the nude section is 5 minutes. It is quite long, plenty of room. Sa Mesquida in the northeast is nice too, but a bit smaller - the nude section is to the right of the big rock as you face the sea. There's a really nice one in the northwest but the name escape me.... you drive through a pine forest. Generally speaking though, you can go nude on pretty much any virgin beach in Menorca (any beach not in a town or in front of a hotel) if you just find a quiet corner or something. I have walked nude on the Cami de Cavals, in the vicinity of Cala Blanca, with  no problems - everyone just said Hola or Good afternoon.

I agree with Jon. I have been naked on many different Menorcan beaches. Personally Son Bou and Binigaus are not my favorites as I like smaller coves where  the snorkelling is more interesting. If you stay in St Tomas I can recommend the walk from Binigaus to Cala Trebalugar  along the coast via Cala Escorxada and Cala Fustam. I did it naked when I went in October and had a dip at each beach.

I prefer smaller coves to great expanses of sand so think I will be leading the tour organiser towards Sant Tomas!! Many thanks to everyone.
